The University of Karlsruhe is situated in the Karlsruhe town's center in immediate vicinity of the castle.

from the autobahn A5

• Take the exit "Karlsruhe - Durlach"
• Head for "Karlsruhe" (first exit).
• Follow the four-lane road straight on towards "Stadtmitte" (centre), "Schloss" (castle) and "Universität" (university).
• At the big crossways near a large church ("Durlacher Tor") turn right signposted "Universität" (university).
• At the immediately following traffic light keep left in order to turn left at the second traffic light.
• Your are on the Campus now. Please ask the doorman for entrance allowance.

from the autobahn A65

• The autobahn A65 passes into the city's South Tangent (clearway).
• Take the exit "Oststadt / Stadion".
• Follow the main road (pass several traffic lights) until you reach a multi-lane roundabout.
• Take the first exit ("Oststadt / Stadion") and follow the road until the first traffic light. Turn left here.
• Your are now driving toward the "Durlacher Tor".
• At the big crossways near a large church ("Durlacher Tor") turn right signposted "Universität" (university).
• At the immediately following traffic light keep left in order to turn left at the second traffic light.
• Your are on the Campus now. Please ask the doorman for entrance allowance.

You arrive at Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof (main station). Leave the railway station through the major exit (not the east exit, "Ostausgang"). Your are now on the station's forecourt. You can take one of the following trams:

• line 3 (towards Rintheim)
• line S7/S8 (towards Tullastraße)

Please exit at Durlacher Tor/KIT Campus Süd.
